Realizing the rational cycle of "Ideological Emancipation -

There is another basic experience (law) in China's reform and opening up: whenever we encounter economic difficulties and encounter economic crises, we must first emancipate the mind, promote reform and opening up through ideological emancipation, and drive economic growth through reform and opening up.

In fact, the emancipation of the mind is to find problems and correct mistakes. The first ideological emancipation after the reform and opening up was in the late 1970s and early 1980s. At that time, a big discussion was held around "practice is the only criterion for testing truth." Under the impetus of the ideological emancipation movement, what Production contracting, special economic zones, attracting foreign investment - things that even dare not think and say when they were in the Cultural Revolution were really done in the 1980s, so that in the 1980s, China’s economy grew rapidly and even appeared. Two economic overheats.

The second ideological emancipation was in the early 1990s, when a big discussion was held around the issue of "surnames surnames". Under the impetus of Deng Xiaoping's "Southern Talks", the reform direction of the socialist market economy was established and reformed. Openness entered a new phase, which led to the rapid rise of China's economy, so that in 1993, strong macroeconomic regulation and control had to be carried out to curb overheating.

The third ideological emancipation was in the late 1990s, when the external Asian financial crisis became more and more fierce, and there was unprecedented deflation in the country, and the growth rate fell below 8%. In this context, it is around "what is the advantage of joining the WTO?" Or, the problem of doing more harm than good has started a big discussion. As a result, the Chinese government seized the opportunity, decisively promoted the negotiation process of entering the market, and vigorously promoted a series of major reforms such as state-owned enterprise reform, financial reform, and housing system reform, which brought about a new round of rapid economic growth in the first few years of this century.

Today, we are very happy to see that General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed at a meeting on January 23 this year that "thoughts will be re-liberated, reforms will be deepened, and work will be pragmatic." If we can truly open a new round of ideological emancipation on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up, we will be able to bring about a new round of reform and opening up, thus bringing about a new round of economic growth. Then, the Chinese economy will surely be able to take a new step, realize the medium-to-high speed, move to the middle and high-end, and realize the modernization of the national economy and national governance at an early date.
